Intugent:- What is it all about

Intugent was established recently by industry veterans who realized that a step change in innovation speed can only be made by fundamentally transforming the organizations' capabilities thru streamlining and digitalization of the work processes, and improving the intuitive and innovative capabilities of the researchers. In order to design and implement these capabilities, broad skill sets and deep expertise are needed in fundamental sciences, artificial intelligence and organizational structure.

We help our partners in developing knowledge-base by combining artificial intelligence and fundamental laws of science and lay it out using scientific and economic terms commonly used in business. Researchers are exposed to this analysis as they are developing new solutions using our streamlined and digitalized work process. This knowledge-base plays a pivotal part in improving the intuitive and innovation capabilities of researchers. We also assist our partners in developing Intellectual Property strategies, Portfolio analysis, and customized Project Management.

In nutshell, we help our partners to increase the innovation velocity and quality by improving organizational and individual capabilities.

Our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

We retain distinguished fellows with outstanding achievements in their areas of expertise. What makes them even more special is their ability to understand the big pictures and they know how to run the innovation process like a well-oiled machine.

Ike Latham

Ike Latham has spent over 25 years in the material science industry with special focus in thermoset polymers such as Polyurethanes and Epoxy. He has tremendous experience in reducing the art of formulation into material science and developing formulation-structure-property models for various application in flexible and rigid polyurethane foams, elastomeric polyurethane materials, and epoxy systems. Over the years, he developed various digitalization tools that helped the researchers in designing new formulations.

Ike has published numerous papers and patents. He received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University, after which he did post doctoral work at the University of Southern Mississippi

Bernard Obi

Dr. Bernard E. Obi spent 30 years in the chemical, polymer and material science industry. He is a dynamic polymers/materials scientist with expertise in many areas including free radical dispersion/suspension polymerizations; rigid and flexible thermoplastic and thermoset elastomers and foams (particularly in rigid, flexible and viscoelastic polyurethane thermoset foams). He also has extensive expertise in barrier films technology, surface and interfacial sciences, micro & macro-structure-property-performance relationships, materials development, composites, elastomers and rubbers.

Bernard received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Michigan State University. He has published numerous technical papers and patents in these fields including a text book, Polymeric Foams Structure-Property-Performance , published by Elsevier Publishers.

Asjad Shafi

Asjad Shafi has over 30 years of experience in math modelling of material science applications. He specializes in combining physical sciences such as physics and chemistry with artificial intelligence to develop machine learning applications that can be used real-time during material development without requiring high power computing.

Before joining Intugent, he worked at Dow Chemical and held various positions in digitalization, artificial intelligence, materials science modelling, product and process development and new business development. As Digitalization Leader, he initiated and led Dow Polyurethane’s “Predictive Intelligence” program, and introduced theory based neural networks to improve the innovation speeds. He also led development of eCURE to speed epoxy innovations. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1992. Asjad has published extensively in scientific journals.
